The transitional period between seasons is always a great time to try new outfit ideas. For me, it’s because I can play more with layering different pieces. A kimono has always been one of my favorite styles, but the humidity in North Carolina allows for a small window to wear one without having a heat stroke. Since it’s finally cooling off here, I was eager to style an easy way to wear a kimono for the fall transition.
What inspired this particular outfit was my desire to wear my favorite summer staples as long as possible. This plain white tee (which is perfect to wear all year round) and denim shorts are the epitome of comfort. The simplicity of the two make them the perfect outfit to layer this longer-length kimono over. This time of year is also one of the only times my favorite open-toe booties are appropriate, so expect to see them on repeat over the next few weeks.
I love that this outfit allows for an easy way to wear a kimono, which requires minimum effort, but looks amazing! What are some of your favorite Fall transitional styles?
