How perfect is this off-the-shoulder top?! And at only $23, it was definitely my best deal from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I loved it as soon as I saw it and even more once I put it on. It’s right on trend for Summer, but the color and print can easily transition into the cooler months, layered with my favorite jacket of course. I have to admit, I’m already prepping for Fall by buying darker colors and cute sweaters. I also bought this amazing jacket from the big sale that I can’t wait to wear!
It’s so crazy to me that we’re already over halfway through summer, so I’ve been trying my best to seize the season. It seems that the older I get, the faster time flies and I’ve realized that this year I’ve been focusing more on the, “what’s next,” than living in the moment. So my goal for the rest of this year is to do just that.
As I mentioned in my, “5 Fun Facts About Me,” post, I’m pretty terrified of…well, a lot, so one way that I’m making the most of my Summer is by pushing myself out of my comfort zone. A couple of weeks ago I let my boyfriend take me jet-skiing, which I hadn’t done in probably 20 years. I was a little nervous since I knew he’d be a more, “adventurous” driver (we are at complete opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to fear) and within the first 60 seconds I begged him to stop because I immediately became nauseous. After a few dramatic gags (sometimes I can’t believe he puts up with me), I realized it was only my nerves getting the best of me and forced myself to relax a little. Although I’m sure my face has a few more wrinkles due to the terrified look it was making for the first hour, by the end I was laughing so hard from having so much fun. In the end, experiencing that kind of excitement made me feel like a kid again.
I’m definitely looking forward to some more fun plans to finish out the Summer, including a trip home next weekend for my niece’s 2nd birthday. I’ll be making a pit stop in DC to see my best friend and can’t wait to be reunited with my favorite people! I accidentally had a few of my sale purchases shipped to Pittsburgh (my brain has been scaring me lately), so will be sharing more finds later this week. In the meantime, definitely check out my best deal from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale here!
