A few years ago, as a little pick-me-up, I started buying myself flowers during my weekly grocery store trip. Eventually, having pretty blooms around my house became a little obsession of mine. I mean, is there anything better than a tiny one-bedroom apartment adorned with fresh flowers (besides a flower-filled mansion, maybe)? Even Cleo enjoys smelling and rubbing up against my newest assortment (she’s so fancy!).
When I discovered Petals on the Go, a flower truck locally based in the Triangle, my reaction was nothing short of ecstatic. I made it my mission to visit them asap and was finally able to during NCMA’s Art and Bloom festival last weekend. Not only did I purchase a gorgeous bouquet for Cleo and I to enjoy, but the owner, Amanda, was sweet enough to help me make my own flower crown! I had so much fun creating my crown and loved how it made me feel like a Fairy Princess, which for the record, has no age limit.
Lately, I’ve been trying to indulge more in the things that bring me happiness and visiting Petals on the Go was such a wonderful experience! I’m so excited to take one of Amanda’s floral arranging classes next! If you’re interested too, you can sign up for her May 20th class here (just in time for Mother’s day!).
