Merry Christmas friends! Cleo and I headed home for the holiday last Wednesday and unfortunately, what seemed like just a runny nose at the start of our 8 hour drive turned into a touch of the flu by the time we arrived (I wanted to die). I spent a majority of my time in Pittsburgh sick in bed. Definitely not the trip I had planned, but luckily, by Sunday I felt well enough to celebrate Christmas with my family. Also, lucky for me I never lost my appetite and was able to eat all of the amazing food they made. Safe to say, diet is starting asap!
On Christmas, I wore this super pretty velvet blouse with my black skinnies and new favorite pumps. Although I’ve been in love with the trend, this is my first velvet buy and it’s safe to say I’m officially obsessed (ps – it’s currently on sale!). This was also the outfit I planned on wearing to my 10 year high school reunion (read more on my thoughts about the occasion here), but of course, my illness prevented my attendance to the event (guess I’ll just wait another ten years, damn).
Of course, I wish I could have spent a few more healthy days at home, but am still very appreciate of the time I did have in the Burgh. Cleo and I leave for Raleigh early tomorrow and then it’s back to reality. We recently moved into a new apartment and I still have so much unpacking to do. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! Anyone have any fun New Years plans?
