Typically, I have a very one-track mind when it comes to personal appearance and this track is clearly labeled, “Clothing.” Full disclosure, I’ve been using the same drug store makeup since high school – hey, I never claimed to be a makeup guru, stop your judging! But recently, with the abundance of beauty blogs and subscription boxes in circulation, I’ve been able to learn about and sample various products. I’ve since developed a deep affection for my favorite beauty products and now, could not imagine my life without them.
Here is a recap of my current beauty essentials! I may not be an expert yet, but I promise, I’m 100% right about the following items. I’m sure you’ll love them as much as I do – seriously, these are game changers!
For months, I’ve been using various perfume samples in an attempt to discover a new signature scent. Finally, my search ended after one use of Lancome’s La Vie Est Belle. The light and feminine floral scent produced many compliments and had me subconsciously sniffing my wrists at my desk, so yeah, definitely the winner.
I never thought I would retire my Clinique lotion (even after warnings from my Aunt, a professional aesthetician), but after receiving this Boots Botanics Day Cream from Influenster, I’ve officially converted. The main reason being that I noticed a significant decrease in clogged pores upon using and it’s very affordable!
Speaking of clogged pores, I’m pretty obsessed with the hideous appearance of mine and tend to complain about this flaw to anyone who will listen. Luckily, my friend Sammie told me about GlamGlow SuperMud Mask. Today, I used the mask and was both shocked and slightly grossed out by the amount of dirt the product unearthed from my face! If you’re in need of a product that finally clears pores the way it claims, this product is a must!
With winter weather inevitably comes dry hands, which drives me crazy every year. A co-worker introduced me to Burt Bee’s Hand Salve. Just a simple application at bed time will have you waking up with soft and smooth palms. Hallelujah!
This next product is one that I now hold dear to my heart. As an avid Chapstick user, I was experiencing some serious smudging when applying lip color over my balm. Thankfully, I discovered Dr. Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips. The product not only moisturizes, but acts as both a primer and gloss! It is now my most used essential and my lips are almost never without it. Seriously, I don’t know how I lived without it!
Lastly, I must brag about another product received from Influenster, this SoapBox Coconut Shampoo. The shampoo leaves my hair feeling simply, clean! I can actually feel the lack of gunk on my head compared to every other shampoo I’ve ever used. Not only does this product leave the best feeling clean, but for each bottle purchased the company donates one month of clean water to those in need. And at $5.99 a bottle, I doubt I’ll ever use another brand on my locks again!
