I have recently realized that in this blog’s entire year of existence, I have neglected to feature an outfit truly dedicated to Work Wear. I honestly feel a bit embarrassed since my attire four days a week (thank God for casual Friday!) is required to be office appropriate.
Until now, I’m sure many of you thought I had no need for pantyhose or dress “slacks,” assuming I’m a college student or privileged trophy wife. Although I love to relive my glory days with the interns at work (they probably think I’m such a loser) and have considered the idea of “marrying for money” after a seriously scary Retirement Planning meeting last week, the reality is, I work full-time in an attempt to support a spoiled cat and my growing shoe addiction.
I work at a small marketing firm near downtown Raleigh. Not to brag, but I have an amazing boss, equally awesome co-workers and take it upon myself to plan some pretty great potlucks (is there anything better?). Although I enjoy where I work and what I do, it’s natural to sometimes, become a bit bored with routine. One way I like to break up the monotony of a work week, is styling cute, fun clothes to wear to the office. I find that I am 100% more likely to be excited about going to work when I have a great outfit picked out.
I can promise that although this is my first, it will not be my last Work Wear post! As a fellow working gal with the constant conflict of having nothing to wear to the office, I can attest that when it comes to being business casual-cute – the struggle is real!

PS – Please excuse the hot mess hair, it was extremely windy that day. And special thanks to Tammy for listening to me complain about said hair during this entire shoot. You’re a trooper girl!
