I’ve been seeing an overflow of 90s inspired Graphic Tees out there (good news Joey Fatone, Superman tees are back) and although I’m not one to gravitate towards wearing such graphic content, I wanted to step outside my comfort zone and well, jump on the bandwagon!
I was drawn to this cotton black cut-off with Batman emblem probably only because it reminded me of my dad, but once I assembled my above ensemble it has quickly become one of my “go-tos” to go under everything!
Since this Batman tee (Forever 21, $9.80) was a bit on the masculine side, I paired it with this floor-length black chiffon skirt (H&M, sale for $7!!) to soften up the look (I love how the flow of the skirt coincidentally looks like I stole it from Wonder Woman’s wardrobe). Adding the tan booties and denim vest (American Eagle) broke up all of the black coloring and gave my outfit a more “edgy” vibe. I can’t wait to show off this look (in person) once the weather warms up!
Until then I put together a second, warmer look that is simpler, but still edgy (below). I paired the Batman tee with my black bomber jacket (American Eagle) and black moto jeggings (Target, see Target Chic).
